The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) broadly amends the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). CCPA went into effect on 1 January 2020. CPRA amends and expands CCPA. Most provisions of CPRA will go into effect on 1 January 2023 and be enforceable starting 1 July 2023. CPRA is one of the first comprehensive consumer privacy laws in the United States. CPRA, unsurprisingly, may serve as a model for other comprehensive consumer privacy laws in the United States.This course is a journey where we explore CPRA! This course is designed for those with any level of experience with privacy and data security laws. On this journey, I provide you with a good overview of privacy and data security laws, before we explore CPRA.
