Gang crime and modern slavery are issues that are increasing on a daily basis. Everyday another story of a life being lost or a person being the victim of criminal exploitation comes out and the situation shows no signs of slowing down. The fight against this extremely serious criminality is being led by good people doing good work but more is needed.
Join Martyn Linton of Swiftstone Training for this input on Gangs & Modern Slavery and you will get a brief overview on some of the basic tactics used by gangs to groom and exploit others for their benefit. In the UK victims of exploitation can be referred into the National Referral Mechanism. This input explains what the NRM is and how this works. This training is aimed at entry level and more detailed training on gang methodology is available should you wish to complete this.
This training has intentionally been kept general as the basics apply to many roles that people perform in the fight against these issues.
