Call White's Bluff by Putting the Pressure on from Move 2. If you want a top coach preparing your openings, you should probably do what the Indian national team did - get GM Srinath Narayanan in your corner. In under 130 trainable variations, you'll get a compact repertoire against 1.d4 that takes the game in the direction you want, as early as move 2. This repertoire has been Srinath's own weapon and he's used it regularly against some of the very best players in the world.
The plan is simple but effective. White will have to spend time rounding up the c4 pawn, which can't be recaptured immediately. This will give you time to either finish development or, if your opponent is careless, you may even keep the pawn forever.
The QGA may have been around since 1620, but there are still new developments and unexplored territory. The mainline focuses on World Champion Dommaraju Gukesh's solid 5.Be7 . This move has served the new World Champion well - he played it in the last round of the Candidates to secure his spot in the World Championship match itself.
One benefit of the Queen's Gambit Accepted is that White's options are severely limited. The mainlines of 3.e4 and 3.Nf3 are White's only serious tries, so you won't have to spend hours learning obscure sidelines - there just aren't that many.

He has been the regular captain of the open Indian team since 2019 and the consistent podium finishes speak for themselves.
