Description
The purpose of this course is to educate and inform the audience about cell therapy and its use in COVID-19. Given that cell therapy is a new and rapidly evolving field, it may often be confusing to those who are not experts nor active researchers in this area.

We will discuss how the SARS-CoV-2 virus infects the lungs causing lung damage that can lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in the most severe cases. Cell therapy offers an opportunity to rescue patients with such conditions and we will look at why that is the case. Finally, it is important to remind ourselves the risks involved in stem cell / cell therapy as a whole.
