Many years ago, when I started training and coaching people, I used to go to meet people. I had so much to offer. I wanted to help people to lead themselves effectively and helping them to do more things in less time.
I was thinking that I can make a difference in people's lives by solving their problems.
My knowledge and skill were irrelevant because I was expecting people to understand me. But nobody was giving me a damn.
I was knocking my head against the wall and wondering what's happening. I was blaming things and people. I could not talk to people and persuade them to buy what I was selling.
I thought I could have a superpower to install the beliefs I had into the mind of others like magic.
Of course, that's not possible. I was clueless.
I realised that the only thing was stopping me from making more conversation was only me.
My fear, shame, hesitation and excuses were holding me back.
I took the matter into my hand. I have turned myself from a shy and reluctant individual to an above average communicator.
Now, I can engage people in a longer conversation without making them bored.
I am going to share what I learned to be an engaging communicator.
Imagine you want to meet people and make strong connections with them.
So that, You want to get what you want by helping them to get what they want. The conversation should be too simple, but you don't know what to say.
Imagine you want to meet a client to seal the deal in your business, but you are unable even to book an appointment.
Maybe you are going for a job interview, but can't convince the interviewer to hire you.
You get frustrated. You don't know what to do.
Someone comes to you and say "Hey, be confident. You can do it."
And you go with the energy, "Yeah, I can do it".
After 10 minutes, you say with frustration, "Why can't I just say?"
Now, imagine you can communicate with calm and confidence. You don't worry about the outcome of the conversation, but you focus on how you can communicate better so that you create the compelling and productive relationship using your communication.
That's exactly is going to happen in this course.
No matter how poor or an average you are at communication, you can enjoy an engaging communication without fear and hesitation.
