GForce Prophet 5 is a software synthesizer based on the Prophet~5, the five-voice analogue instrument introduced by Sequential Circuits in 1978. Developed by GForce Software in partnership with Sequential, the plugin recreates the instrument's characteristic synthesis architecture, controls, and performance behavior in a virtual format.
The plugin incorporates Rev1, Rev2, and Rev3 character models, covering the SSM-based designs and Curtis filter characteristics associated with the original hardware. It also retains the original instrument functionality while adding modern software features for sound design, preset management, expressive performance, and effects processing.
Alongside the original 38 factory presets from 1978, the instrument includes a professionally designed library containing more than 420 additional patches. Its dual-layer architecture, arpeggiator, chord modes, modulation tools, and MPE support provide additional options for contemporary synthesis and performance workflows.
