The MicroStation development team is pleased to announce the availability of RCDC (SACD) V9 is coming with Major release and consist of ACI 318-2011 and ACI 318-2014 with English Unit and rebar reference numbering as per US standard. These codes will be available for all design module like Column, Beam, Footing, Pile-cap and slab.
What's New and Changed in RCDC V9.0.0:
RCDC V9.0.0 is here with new design codes. The newly introduced features are:
1. ACI 318-2011 and ACI 318-2014
2. Enhancement in Slab Design for ACI 318 and ACI 318M codes
ACI 318-2011 and 2014:
The ACI 318-2011 and 2014 has been added in RCDC. Both ACI 318M-2011 and ACI 318M-2014 codes will also be available for Designing.
With addition of these codes, all the below mentioned elements from RCDC can now be designed in ACI 318 codes and output is also generated in FPS unit system:
1. Pile Cap
2. Footing
3. Column and Walls
4. Beams
5. Slab
Enhancement in Slab Design for ACI 318 and ACI 318M codes:
For a given slab panel, it will consider the effect of beam and adjacent half-panel-width of slab, in the calculation to Total Panel Moment.
For design, the bending moments in the middle-strip is considered because, in column-strip the beam will contribute the maximum. The effect of continuity across the edge of the slab is considered in the distribution of Total Moment in the panel.
