GerbView is a desktop application for viewing, printing, converting, measuring, and annotating PCB manufacturing files and related technical formats. It supports Gerber, ODB++, Excellon, Adobe PDF, HPGL/2, and other formats, providing tools for inspecting designs without requiring a physical prototype.
The application supports both RS-274D and RS-274X Gerber data and can convert older RS-274D files to the extended RS-274X format. It also provides PDF-to-CAD conversion, allowing Adobe PDF documents to be converted to Gerber or Autodesk DXF.
GerbView uses a workspace model in which multiple files and formats can be loaded together. Workspaces can be saved for later use, while markup tools allow users to add text, images, barcodes, QR codes, lines, polygons, and other annotations to design layers.
