Following a thorough investigation across the country, ABC News found at least 54 criminal instances in which the name of President Donald Trump was spoken in connection with assault, threats of assault, or violent acts.
According to ABC News, "n nine cases, offenders praised Trump while committing the violent act or right thereafter. Another eleven incidents involved individuals who threatened or teased other people while supporting or applauding Trump. Additionally, Trump's words were used in court in another 10 cases to justify a defendant's aggressive or threatening actions.
No proof of violence or threats against Presidents Barack Obama or George W. Bush was discovered by ABC News.
