Hi, my name is Dorothy. I am a Chinese Malaysian and I lived in Malaysia until I was almost 50 years old. In 2009 I moved to Australia and although I love my new home, I still want to enjoy the fabulous Malaysian food I am used to.
The ingredients I used to have in Malaysia are not always available where I live now, so I decided to write a recipe book that anyone outside Malaysia can use to get the authentic flavours of my home country.
Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures, so that means the food I cook covers Malay, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Indonesian and even some Japanese. As I am Chinese I have none of the cultural taboos about food imposed on other Malaysians so I get to enjoy it all. I hope through my recipes you can enjoy it too.
Join me on a culinary and pictorial journey through Malaysia and enjoy 260 varied recipes from across the country.
