Philosophy and madness-Kusters's preferred, non-medicalized term-coexist, one mirroring the other. Drawing on his own experience of madness-two episodes of psychosis, twenty years apart-Kusters argues that psychosis presents itself to the psychotic as an inescapable truth and reality.
