The forty-seven WhatsApp pings that broke me and the system I built that night to fix them forever.Pedro Melo Andujar has been running a restaurant in Santo Domingo for twenty years. Like most small business owners, he was losing fifteen to twenty hours a week to the same five tasks: customer messages, content, admin, orders, and the eternal question of which clients were actually paying him. Then he started using AI. Not the way the tech press talks about it. The way an operator uses it. Templates instead of typing. A vibe-coded HTML app instead of a chaotic Excel file. A WordPress plugin he built himself, with no developer, that now runs the entire order flow at his restaurant. In Run Lean, Think AI, Pedro hands you the exact playbook:The Repetition Audit that surfaces the seven tasks eating your week (Chapter 1)Five operations every small business needs to automate, with copy-paste systems for restaurants, retail, salons, logistics, professional services, and freelancers (Chapters 4-8)The Operator-Built App method - Sketch, Stack, Build, Break, Ship - for building software without a developer or a budget (Chapter 7)The micro-agency model that brings in $5,000-$15,000 a year alongside your main business (Chapters 9-11)How to write and publish the book you already have inside you, in three to six months of part-time work (Chapter 12) This is not a textbook. It is not a list of two hundred AI tools. It is the working manual of an operator who used AI to get his Sundays back, and now wants to show you how to get yours. You don't need to be technical. You don't need a budget. You don't need permission. You need to be willing to describe the problem. What readers get back:Seventy-five minutes a day reclaimed from customer messagesHalf a day a week reclaimed from marketingFour to six hours a week reclaimed from adminThe Sundays you used to lose to the operationThe breakfasts with your kids you have been missingThe presence with the people who matter that operating has been quietly eating Who this book is for:Restaurant owners. Retail shop operators. Salon and barbershop owners. Logistics and delivery operators. Accountants, lawyers, dentists, and clinic owners. Freelancers, consultants, and solopreneurs. Anyone who runs a small business and is losing too many evenings to recurring administrative work.Pedro Melo Andújar runs Pekrys, a corporate-catering restaurant in Santo Domingo, and consults with operators across Latin America and the United States on building AI-assisted systems. He is the author of IA: Tu Aliada en el Crecimiento, the Spanish-language predecessor to this book. He builds his own software with the help of Claude. He spends most mornings now eating breakfast with his sons.
